Full Time Job Posting (Immediate Opening)

Field Service Engineer/Technician

Install and Service field instrumentation systems. Programming and configuration of Eagle Units, PLC’s, and other smart instrumentation. Systems are normally in remote outside locations. Travel is involved. Must have a valid WV Driver’s License. Eagle provides tools, vehicle, cell phone and travel expenses.

■ Industrial construction environment is often encountered.
■ Most projects are working around natural gas.

Principal Duties:

■ Design instrument and electrical site installations. Electrical is normally 120 VAC and 24 VDC and lower in voltages.
■ Install and service analog and digital control systems.
■ Install and service communications systems (Ethernet, Radio, Cell etc.).
■ Configuration and testing of HMI software and SCADA packages.
■ Conduit installations above & below ground.
■ Wire pulling and terminating of AC power and instrument signals.
■ Instrument mounting.
■ Calibration, checkout, and system start-up.

Job Requirements:

Education:

■ 2 or 4 years of college (preferred)
■ 2 years of vocational Tech Training (minimum)

Drug and Background Check:

■ Must be able to pass and will be subject to random drug testing.

Experience:

■ Instrument and Electrical installation and configuration

Skills:

■ Software/computer, Mechanical /Electrical/Electronic (well rounded)

Supervisory Responsibility:

■ Leadership of small 2-4 people teams. Must have good communication skills.

Equipment To Be Used:

■ Laptop computer, Electronic & Pneumatic test equipment, Basic hand tools, and heavier tools for working with Conduit and Tubing.

Typical Physical Demands:

■ Field installation of conduits and mounting posts requires some digging and physical activity. Must be able to work in hot & cold environments which can include rain, shine, or snow. Some light lifting is required.

Typical Mental Demands:

■ Quick learner – Stay focused and self motivated – Able to assess unexpected fields problems and correct them.

Working Conditions:

■ Outside – ALL weather (can be extreme) – Lots of travel – can be out of town and involve more than 1 week away (NOT typical).
